What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run Hussl:
- Newsletter subscribers: your email address, stored securely and used only to send you hack updates.
- Account holders: when you sign in via Google, Facebook, X, Apple, or email, we store your name, email, profile image, and chosen username to power your account and comments.
- Hack submissions and promotion orders: the content and contact email you provide when submitting or promoting a hack.
- Comments: the text you post, linked to your user account.
How we use it
- To provide and improve Hussl
- To send newsletter emails (only if you subscribe)
- To display your username and avatar on comments
- To process promotion orders
Third parties
We use the following third-party services:
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Google, Facebook, X (Twitter), Apple — OAuth authentication (if you choose to sign in with one of these)
- Neon — database hosting
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication sessions and theme preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
Your rights
Under GDPR (UK/EU) and the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time
